Out of the 21 Centres that underwent QAI Assessment in Phase II in 2021, 18 centers received their QAI certificates taking the total number of QAI accredited Indira IVF Centres to 35. The 18 Centres to get QAI certificates in Phase II were Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, Bangalore, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, Vashi, Pune, Bikaner, Chennai, Gulbarga, Jammu, Kolhapur, Bhopal, Raipur and Hisar.
Midterm QAI Surveillance was also initiated for 17 centers that received QAI Certificates in Phase I, starting with Allahabad center. The Allahabad Centre received much appreciation from the QAI assessor for their excellent practices.
Internal audits and training continued as the Centers strived to maintain continuous compliance to patient safety and Quality standards.
To achieve more and more digitization of medical records, the process of taking consents from the HIS was completed at 15 locations and hard copy consent booklets were stopped.
Having streamlined the process of monthly online audits at all pharmacies, onsite pharmacy audits were conducted at multiple locations to improve the finer points in pharmacy processes.
Emergency management at the OPD Centres was taken up as a project. Emergency management kits were designed to be provided to every OPD Centre. Resuscitation training for OPD Centres was started by the Nursing Superintendent. At main centres, emergency evacuation drills were practiced.
