World Hand Hygeine Day

5th May is celebrated world over as “World Hand Hygiene Day” every year. Hand Hygiene is the single most important factor for the prevention of hospital acquired infections. Prevention of infection is very important in IVF Centers, both in the Embryology Labs while dealing with gametes and embryos as well as operating rooms and post- surgical patients in wards.

To reinforce focus on hand hygiene at Indira IVF on this Hand Hygiene Day, Poster making competition and hand washing chain video making competition was held at the centers including the gathering of staff and address by center head on importance of hand hygiene.
We had an overwhelming response from staff at all centres who gathered and reinforced hand washing practices.
119 posters and 27 videos were received as nominations. Staff showed awesome creativity and judges had a difficult time judging the posters and videos. We congratulate each one of participants for their exemplary effort.
Three best posters in each zone main centers – north, south, east and west and one best 3 best posters from OPD were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 1000, Rs 500 and Rs 400 each with a certificate. The best video from the main center of each zone, and 2 from OPD centers were awarded with memento and certificate.
