Following the trend of patient first, we have done cases even at 6:30 am or 12:30 night in case of emergency. The staff never felt or showed any frown for a patient. I remember when patients used to come to me to ask for a particular staff since he or she was comforting. People usually talk about aura at our hospital. I realized that people coming to us are not just patients with a particular disease but also people under a lot of stress, social stigma, and hopelessness. So, I made it a point to greet patients with a smile, understanding them each time with positive energy, motivating them, and encouraging them to be there for each other. We have made this a trend that the environment is made as friendly and stress-free as possible for all the staff as well as patients and this has given us great results. I see patients sticking with us even after negative results since they trust us more than themselves and I think this is the best reward that anyone can hope for in our field.
The best statement that melted me was – “you have a positive aura mam, and we know that we are in the best hands through which god works mysteriously”.
