The IVF segment and ART clinics receiving the government’s support, and we should leverage it wholeheartedly
The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill (ART Bill) and the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill passed by Parliament in December 2021 is a welcome move for our industry. Indira IVF since inception has maintained and will continue to do business with a conscience. With our customer centric approach, we have always followed standardized protocols and followed ethical practices. With this bill now in power, it will not only complement our business and but also give us the opportunity to further demonstrate our strengths to our current and potential customers.
Customers are going to be more aware now and it will be such a good thing for our business. We have worked years and years to change the perception of IVF from getting rid of taboos to negative associations with IVF and surrogacy. Now with the government’s support, we can really move forward and help impact a greater number of people and give them the joy of parenthood. Everything the bills proposes, Indira IVF has done it first. Think about affordability – our costs are much lower than other players in the market because we believed in providing the services to one and all. This bill currently commands to standardize the operating procedures to ensure uniform costs.
The proposed law mandates that all ART clinics provide professional counselling to a commissioning couple about all the implications and chances of success of ART procedures and also share with them the advantages, disadvantages and cost of the procedures, medical side-effects and risks, including that of multiple pregnancy. Indira IVF specialists and embryologists are all empowered from our Indira Fertility Academy not only with the expertise to perform the most complex of IVF procedures but to be empathetic and provide exceptional counseling while interacting with patients.
Growing awareness among people coupled with increasing government initiatives to tackle infertility burden is fostering the growth of ART market. Higher success rate of ART procedures is expected to create a conducive environment and we have been acing it since 2011.
This year is a year of productivity and higher performance. With the support of the government, lets thrive in this new business environment.
