Step Up To Team Up – New Initiative in controlling Infant Attrition

Attrition is certainly the biggest threat to any Organization especially Infant attrition. Infant attrition is the attrition of employees within first six months of their joining or within the probation period of newly joined employees in an organization. It typically addresses the attrition of employees who leave the Organization within 30, 60 or 90 days of joining.

Infant attrition affects the flow of the organization and creates an unfavorable representation of the organization. Therefore, it is vital that organizations work to control infant attrition. At Indira, we have brought to the table the concept of “Step up to Team Up”. It is a feedback process model which help us understand how the new employees are feeling about our organization and if they are aware of our Human resource policies, employee benefits and stakeholders of different departments.

The questionnaires are circulated to all new employees on the 30th, 60th and 90th day from the date of joining. Through this initiative we send across the message to the new employees that they are a great asset to Indira and that their feedback is valuable for us to work on the areas of improvement to build an open and healthy work culture. Recently we collated all responses from the new employees, and we are proud to announce that we have been rated 4.4 on a 5-pointer scale which is very strong positive response.
