INDIRA IVF PANJIM SPREADS THE MESSAGE “YOUR SAFETY SECURES YOUR FAMILY”

~ Takes initiative to ensure people’s safety during State Road Safety Week ~

Panjim, October 27, 2021: In observation of the 10^th State Road Safety Week, doctors and staff of Indira IVF Panjim rallied to spread the message of “Your Safety Secures Your Family”. The organisation put together demonstrations at major road junctions in the city, and informed commuters on safe practices; this included the financial implications of not following traffic rules.

The awareness campaign is an initiave by the city-located Indira IVF to stress on the importance of collective social wellbeing while travelling. According to a report by the National Crime Records Bureau, Goa reported the fifth highest fatalities due to accidents in 2019 in India with one person losing their lives everyday. In 2019 alone, 3,490 accidents were reported. Following road safety instructions, thus, is essential so that commuters can be safe and by extension, also ensure wellbeing of their families.

Addressing the importance of the occasion, Dr Namrata Volvoikar from Indira IVF Panjim said, “The State Road Safety Week is an significant occasion and calls for converation on an important topic – wellbeing of one’s family. While driving, even the smallest slip-up can lead to grave consequences that impacts our family and so we need to be careful about each maneuvour. In a similar manner, in cases of infertility, time is of essence and a fertility expert must be consulted if symptoms are observed. One cause of infertility can be attributed to increase in pollution through vehicles; I would, thus, request to get ‘Pollution under Control’ (PUC) certificates. At Indira IVF, it is our humble endeavour to help people achieve a beautiful family and we wish to extend that message through our social initiative.”
