Honouring Our Journey, One Story at a Time — Nurses’ Special
This May, as we mark our foundational month, we take a moment to reflect on the collective journey that has brought us here. Every milestone we celebrate is a reminder of the people behind it—the team that makes progress possible.
In this section, we shine a light on three remarkable stories from our nursing team at Indira IVF, whose dedication and compassion continue to uphold the values we stand for.
~Sangeeta Guha Staff Nurse (Siliguri Centre)
MY IVF STORY CORNER IN INDIRA IVF
I am Sangeeta Guha, an IVF Nurse. I have been in this profession for the past eight years. Every day I go through many emotional moments at work, but every successful motherhood story is like the birth of a new life.
Today is a little different. My mind has been filled with a strange excitement since morning because today is the day of embryo transfer of Rita and Sujoy. They have been childless for the past 5 years, and despite trying many doctors and medicines, there has been no success. Finally, they came to our clinic at Indira IVF Siliguri Centre.
On the first day I saw a glimmer of hope in Rita’s eyes, along with a question; “will my lap be full one day?’
Her treatment began step by step. Daily injections, Hormones checks, Ultrasound and finally Ovum pick up. I talked to her everyday giving her courage- “One day you will be a mother, have faith”.
Today is the first step on type path of that dream. I held Rita’s hand in it, she looked at me and just said – Sister will I be able to achieve my dream today? I said with a smile, “You came to be a mother, this time the dream will come true.
When tears fell from her eyes all the end of the embryo transfer, I realized that they were not tears of pain, but tears of Hope. Those tears softened my heart too. We Nurses may not ne the mother, but we also have small role to play behind every child.
Two weeks later, her Beta HCG came positive — and now, she has a son who is 2.5 years old.
The greatest reward for our work, the opportunity to walk the path of bringing a new life into the world.
~Muhammed Younus (Nursing In charge Chennai Centre)
My Proud Story
My name is Muhammed Younus, and I am a Nursing In-Charge at Indira IVF Hospital in Chennai. In my 14 years in the medical field, this is the 10th year of my career at Indira IVF. My day begins with preparing the OT for the procedure. Recently, one patient was scheduled for an ovum pickup. She was very anxious. My team and I gently tried to ease her anxiety. In the OT, everything was ready, but we encountered an unexpected problem with our scan machine just before the procedure started. I quickly called for our biomedical team and resolved the issue in time for the surgery. My role involves anticipation and quick response to any issue, as operation theatres are places of zero errors. I feel humbled by the gratitude showered on my team when we have been able to give a positive result. I have seen countless couples who enter our centre with worry and sorrow and leave the centre with happiness and little bundles of joy in their hands. I am truly grateful to be a part of this process. We get to help childless couples achieve their dream.
I am proudly honoured and very happy to have my part in this service.
~Shilpa – Nursing in charge Nagpur
My IVF Story Corner
Hello, my name is Shilpa. I have been working at Indira IVF for the past 8 years.
During this time, I have met many patients with different problems. One of my friends’ relatives had been married for ten years but still couldn’t conceive even after getting treatment from many places. She was always sad and believed she could never become a mother.
Then I told her to come to Indira IVF for treatment. At first, she refused. She thought she wouldn’t get results even here. Later, I motivated her and sent her some before-and-after treatment videos. She then agreed to come for the treatment.
She got the treatment done, and now she has a baby after four years of marriage. She often tells me,
“If I hadn’t met you that day, I would never have become a mother.”
She is extremely grateful, and her gratitude means the world to me.
Seeing her so happy — her arms filled with her child, her face glowing with joy — fills me with immense pride and peace.
This story is proof that even after years of struggle, hope and the right support can bring happiness.
If you are going through a tough time, don’t lose faith.
Miracles take time. Just believe in yourself and take that first step.
Your happiness might be waiting just around the corner.
At Indira IVF Nagpur, we don’t just provide treatment- we help people reclaim their dreams of parenthood. Every smile we bring into a family is a reminder that Hope works best when it’s backed with the right care.
